PIPEDA & child safety
KidEase is built around PIPEDA’s consent, limiting-collection, and safeguarding principles. We store the minimum needed to run search, enrolment, and payments: your account, child care profiles you add (allergies, routines, emergency contacts), messages you send, and payment records. We do not sell personal information. Children’s details are visible only to you and to a centre you contact or book. Video check-in is a parent-initiated room — we do not offer continuous livestreams of children. In production, payments would run through PCI-compliant processors (Stripe, Interac) and messages would be encrypted in transit. This preview keeps data in the app database for the session.
- Account identifiers from Google, X, or email.
- Children you add (first name and birthdate) — only you and centres you contact.
- Messages, enrolment requests, and payment records.
- No sale of personal information. No continuous livestreams of children.
- Production payments would use PCI-compliant processors (Stripe, Interac).
